Corona Virus

There has been a gradual relaxation of the full lockdown imposed in March, and some of the Hall facilities have been permitted to resume some limited use
Let us all hope we can return to normal village social life as soon as possible. In the meantime please take care, look out for your neighbours, especially the elderly, and stay safe!

Tennis

The Tennis court is now back in operation, and with social distancing provision doubles games between different households are now allowed. See the tennis page to contact Judy Bettley-Smith for details.

Outdoor Bowls

The Bowls club is open for members practice sessions and games between members of 2 households. Check the club page here for contact information and how to join.

Playground

As of today 9th July the Hall playground is open. Usual government rules about social distance, sanitising advice, etc must be observed and a maximum of 10 children is considered a sensible capacity to avoid crowding. Please bring and use sanitiser as there are many items that multiple people touch. There is a sanitiser dispenser by the gate and we suggest you should sanitise hands on entry and exit.

Main Hall

It's clear that most indoor events will be restricted for quite some time so the Hall cannot return to full use. The Trustees have however worked to meet the Covid-safe requirements for village halls and expect some small events, such as meetings and taught classes, which have limited numbers and controlled movement, may become possible from August.

The hall is available for hire by clubs and classes and also by individuals for private events such as wedding receptions, children's parties, keep fit, dances and sale events, these and more activities can be found in the hall at different times.

Outside there is a large car parking area, a fully renovated (in 2019) fenced children's playground, picnic area, boule court, full all weather floodlit tennis court and a bowling green. A defibrillator is available, accessible from outside, near the main doors.

All income from bookings goes to the running and maintainance of the hall, which is a registered charity, non profit making and run by community volunteers. We try and keep our booking fees and conditions to a minimum. We have no contract caterers or bar providers, allowing private party bookings freedom to make their own arrangements, the hall has both an alcohol licence and a music licence.
